Lambay Island – Irelands Hidden Gem

Take a walk around the whole of Lambay island with me. I have always admired lambay when kitesurfing in Rush at at times have got close to it, but never close enough to get a good look at it. This wild food foraging weekend with Monica Wilde gave me the opportunity to see it up close and personal. There is something both magical and mysterious when you get close, maybe its the towering hills, the forests or the history that surrounds the island. I was like an excitable child ready to go exploring, I can tell you this, it looks and feels larger that its 600 acres. Its also home to over 300 wallabies that were introduced via Dublin zoo in the 1980’s.
